I'm very thankful to our Almighty God for giving me true friends like my Badadhay Friends.. Friends that I can lean on and depend on whenever I need them, because I know they can help me with whatever problem I may have. They are the type of friends that I can trust and express my feelings to even if it's a bad or a good issue because they are willing to listen, give advice and they are willing to do what ever it takes just for the good of our friendship. However, the most important thing about them, is that they are a good influence not only to myself but to everyone.. I'm very blessed to have them all..

Miss Calaanan 2010

This was taken last May 2, 2010 when I joined the Search for Miss Calaanan. I will never forget this competition because this is one of  the biggest events to happen in my life. I won the 1st Runner-up and I also got some of the Minor and Major awards namely: Best in Swimsuit, Best in Production Number, Best in Jeans-wear, Darling of the Crowd and Miss Photogenic. It was a tough competition because all the candidates are really dreaming to be crowned as Ms. Calaanan. But honestly, maybe I'm the only candidate who didn't dream of being the winner. I only ask God that if you have plan for me then, please give me the First Runner-Up Title because I know I'm not worthy to be called as Ms. Calaanan. Fortunately, I got the First Runner-Up!!! I'm very happy because my sacrifice of one month turned into a successful one.

Miss Canitoan 2011

 

This event taken Last April 2011. For me, this is the most memorable and challenging moment in my life. Because I can call myself here as 'the instant candidate', why? the story goes like this....hehehe...supposedly the one candidate who won the Miss Calaanan will be automatically the representative for Miss Canitoan but she was not qualified in Canitoan because of her over age issue.. So, the Kagawad asked me to replace the candidate but I refused because that week is for our final Exam. I told him they have to find another candidate.

After how many weeks I got a call from our Kagawad and he told me, "Shiela we have problem. The candidate just backed-out because she said she's scared." then I answered, "nah ui. I cant make it because the competition will be tomorrow they're already practicing for almost one month and I have Exam tomorrow morning." But, when I got home I saw a long gown, sandals..everything was there....So, I don't have choice..

In the morning I went to school to take my exam and then by 11:30am I went home to prepare for the pageant. So, 1pm I met the organizer of the pageant and for only 20 minutes he taught me what to do on stage. I started my make-up session by 3:00pm and ended 4:30 pm. After that I practiced my Talent which is dancing. The pageant started at exactly 6:00pm.......

I really prayed to God because I didn't know what to do...But because God gave me strength and confidence in overcoming my fear. Well, I got the Third Runner-up Title and got one of the major award which is the Best in Casual Attire. It was a successful night for me.. :) Thank You God......

I 'm very proud of my self because I've done something that made my life memorable. I'm not really smart but I have a strong personality and confidence that I know would be my weapon in over coming all the challenges in my life.

With God..Nothing's impossible!!!!

This is my fourth Pageant...

I promise myself that this will not be the last pageant..hehehehe .....hopefully!!!
